Bulgaria , located on the Balkan Peninsula in southeast Europe , is the most stable country in the region. The population of Bulgaria is approximately 7.6 million. The climate on the coast is warm and dry in summer, making Bulgarian Black Sea coasts a most favourite holiday destination for many Eastern Europeans during the past years. In the 1980's, a lot of Western Europeans began to discover the Bulgarian coast as a holiday destination. The average temperature of the sea water along the south coast is 25 ° C (77 ° F) in July and August.
Bulgaria abounds in natural mineral springs and most nature products are organic. Bulgaria also has the advantage of being close - it is located in Europe so naturally it is just 3 hours or even less away from the United Kingdom , Holland and Germany . Some companies offer charter flights directly to the coastal areas.
Bulgaria is stable - it has undoubtedly been the most stable country in SE Europe. Bulgaria joined NATO in 2004 and is set to join the EU in 2007.
José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission:
Bulgaria and Romania to join EU 01.01.2007!
“The European Commission has just adopted its final report on the accession of Bulgaria and Romania. Our conclusion is that both countries are in a position to take on the rights and obligations of European Union membership on 1 January 2007.
The readiness of Bulgaria and Romania is a direct result of the sustained progress both countries have achieved over the last years and particularly since our last report in May.
Bulgaria and Romania have found the right answer to our strict conditionality by addressing the areas we highlighted in May. In doing so, they have achieved considerable progress.
We are looking forward to Bulgaria's and Romania's historic achievement of European Union membership in 2007. I expect both to contribute energetically to the process of European integration.”
